Updated October 2026. Docket is run by a sole trader in Brisbane, Queensland.
Who we are
Docket is quoting and invoicing software for Australian tradies. It is operated by a sole trader based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Contact mackiehayden@gmail.com.
Many sole traders under the Privacy Act turnover threshold are exempt from the Australian Privacy Principles. Docket handles personal information in line with those principles anyway, so you can see what is collected and how to reach us.
What we collect
- Quotes and invoices you type, including client names, site addresses, your ABN and bank details, stay in this browser’s local storage on that phone or computer. Docket’s servers do not receive the document, the logo, or the BSB when you write or download a PDF.
- If you share an accept link, the quote is packed into the part of the link after #. Your client’s browser reads it. That part is not sent to Docket’s servers. The logo and the bank details are left out of the link. Anyone with the link can view that quote, so treat it like a document you handed over.
- If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write.
- If you pay for Pro, Stripe collects the card or bank details and the email you enter at checkout. Docket receives from Stripe the details needed to identify the subscription: typically that email, the plan, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded. We do not store full card numbers.
- The host, Vercel, may keep connection logs such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, so the site can run and so abuse can be investigated.
Why we collect it
To provide the app, take payment for Pro, answer your email, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Stripe
Stripe Payments Australia and its related companies process Pro subscriptions. Card data is handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. Stripe may process that information in the United States and other countries. Docket uses Stripe only to take payment and to know whether a subscription is active.
If you subscribe from another subscriber’s link, Stripe stores that subscriber’s customer id on the new subscription so the A$12 credit can be applied after the first real payment. The link is kept in this browser. Docket does not create an account for it.
Overseas disclosure
Hosting logs may be processed by Vercel outside Australia, and payment information may be processed by Stripe outside Australia. Those companies are used because they run the site and the checkout. We do not send your quote file overseas, because we do not hold it.
Cookies and local storage
Docket does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The quote builder stores your documents in local storage on your device so they are still there after you close the tab. You can remove them by deleting a document in the app, or by clearing the site data in the browser.
Access and correction
Email mackiehayden@gmail.com if you want to know what we hold about you, or if you want it corrected. Quotes on your device are yours to edit or delete. Billing details held by Stripe can be corrected through the receipt Stripe emails you, or by asking us and we will pass the request on.
How long we keep it
Browser documents stay until you delete them. We keep email for as long as we need it to deal with the question, and payment records for as long as Australian tax law expects a business to keep them. After that we delete them or reduce them to a record that does not identify you.
Complaints
Email us first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
Docket is not aimed at children, and we do not ask for a child’s information.
