How is Docket different from a job-management app?+
Tradify, Fergus and ServiceM8 are built to run jobs, staff and schedules. Joist and Invoice2go sit closer to invoicing. Docket only writes the quote and the tax invoice, with Australian GST, ABN and BSB, and it is a fraction of the price of those big job-management apps.
What does free include?+
5 free jobs a month, counted in Sydney time when you download the PDF or turn a quote into an invoice. A quote and the invoice made from it count as one. Opening a quote, or the sample job, does not count. Deleting one does not free the spot. It resets next month. Pro removes the cap on this browser.
Does the Pro price include GST?+
Yes. $12 a month, and $79.20 for the first year, are the amounts you pay, including GST. Yearly then renews at $99 a year. Christmas sale: 20% off your first year, ends Boxing Day. After that, yearly is $99, which saves $45 against paying monthly. Get Pro opens Stripe checkout. Card numbers are collected by Stripe, not typed into Docket.
Can I cancel Pro?+
Yes. Email mackiehayden@gmail.com and we cancel the Stripe subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. A refund of that fee is only where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
I am not registered for GST. Can I still quote?+
Yes. Turn GST off. The PDF says no GST has been charged, and an invoice is titled Invoice rather than Tax Invoice.
Where are the quotes stored?+
In this browser, on this phone or laptop. Docket does not keep a copy on a server. After one visit, the quote and invoice pages open again with no signal, and what you type is saved on this device. Checkout and Restore Pro need a connection. If you share an accept link, the quote is carried in that link so the client can open it. Clearing site data removes the saved copy. Pro is the paid plan. It does not, by itself, copy quotes onto another phone.
How does refer a mate work?+
If you have Pro, Docket gives you a personal link. It is on the page after you pay, and again when you Restore Pro. A mate who subscribes from that link gets 30 days free. Stripe asks for a card. After the 30 days they pay the advertised price: $12 a month, or $79.20 for the first year then $99 a year, including GST. Christmas sale: 20% off your first year, ends Boxing Day. When that first payment succeeds, you get a $12 credit on your Stripe customer, taken off a later invoice. One credit per mate who pays. You and your mate have to be different people. Cancelling before the first payment does not earn the credit. There is no account to sign in to.
Where are the template packs?+
On the pricing page. Residential terms, progress claims, and a maintenance visit are a Pro feature, on monthly or yearly. With Pro, one opens a new quote with example lines, notes and terms. Change the prices and the wording. A pack is not a separate charge, not a rate card, and not a building contract or legal advice.
What does the tax invoice include?+
The words Tax Invoice, your name and ABN, the date, a description of the work, the GST amount, and the buyer's name when the GST-inclusive total is $1,000 or more.
